I've used
WM Recorder to record from the following embedded Windows Media Player:

It appeared to be Windows Media video streamed through the RTSP protocol. With
WM Recorder in the AUTO mode you don't even have to click the Record button to download the stream. You may also use other
streaming media recording software supporting Windows Media RTSP streams.
