If you use
screen video capture software, then it is better to record using MPEG-2 video codec. Then the video should be remuxed into DVD-Video without any conversion.
MPEG-2 is used by DVD-Video discs. And it is a good video codec for recording. It doesn't require much resources of your PC and gives nice quality. The files might be pretty large, but this is not that important when you want to create DVD discs.
