That's because you need to disable video acceleration before recording videos from Windows Media Player:

Even if it is protected, you can capture it with
WM Recorder in the PRO mode. Note that WM Recorder doesn't record video from screen, in the PRO mode it captures packets from Windows Media Player, so you will get better quality with it.
