thanks people, have sorted this out now ,bit of a red herring in the end, I had an issue with creating new scheduled task in XP, fixed easy with free download of "powertoys for windows xp",so then just created new scheduled task from radio station website stream link(I use vlc) and synced it to total recorder ........works a treat ..slightly tedious I guess, setting time seperately in each instance but it will do me.....
