Oh you use this screen recorder, cool. I think it is the best. Anyways I use Matroska Pack with Ogg Direct Show Filters 0.9.9.6 for codecs. Settings are pretty much default except I didn't install avi portion of haali media splitter and disabled raw video (those interfere with
Nero OEM suite 3). I also have all the codecs turned on (not disabled and except for raw video). I think it best to not capture full screen video rather you should make the video around 640x480 (as a suggestion, just not full screen) because it would be a smaller file size and easier to convert later. I haven't yet captured full screen though. When you use this program, you don't have to choose a compressor or a codec to make a file that is also a plus unlike others. For conversion I either use Windows Movie Maker,
SUPER(c), or All to AVI. I mostly use the DIVX or XVID codec for those two. For the screen recorder settings-check record specified area, uncheck hide wallpaper, base fps 30 frames/sec, record sound-make sure stereo mix is selected (if possible and this is for recording sound coming from your computer (if nothing shows up it will probably record the sound anyways) (after recording video and playing the new file check to see if you like the sound otherwise adjust in settings of record sound area, advanced settings, etc., next thing to do is drag slider to high quality/large file, either select .avi, or .wmv and that should be it for settings.
