icy is the protocol for Icecast. If Winamp has a plugin, it should work too.
You should be able to run this on Windows Media player. I tried that and it worked for me. |
That was really helpful. I've changed icy:// onto http:// and was able to record it with any Shoutcast/Icecast recorder I have tried including
WM Recorder (doesn't have song splitting),
Replay A/V and
StreamRipper.
