If one can't find any Hulu downloaders, recording from Hulu still can be done with
screen video capture software .

Not a big problem. HTML 5 is an open standard and it allows to show videos without any proprietary software from Adobe. We don't need Adobe to support x64 systems, Linux, Mac OS, iPhone OS,... anymore. Flash should become extinct instead (as well as many other proprietary formats and protocols).
