Newer DLNA certified TV sets can be connected to your PC/laptop via a network. It could be a wired network or a wireless one.

To connect your laptop/PC to your TV via a wire, you will need an ethernet cable with RJ-45 with modular connectors (RJ45 Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable).



Some TV also support Wi-Fi, so you can use a Wi-Fi router to connect your PC/laptop to your TV via Wi-Fi.

To play videos on your TV from your PC/laptop, you will also need a DLNA server to be installed on your computer. It could be Windows Media Center or any other software.
