Recording stream to mp3

From what site did you try to record? Please give me the details so that I can advise you the best stream recorder.

So far you may try the following:

Direct sound recording software can record any sound produced by your sound card. 99% of such programs can record to mp3 format. Some of them, like HardDiskOgg for example, are free.

Replay Music is a unique program that can not only record your audio stream to mp3, but also split and tag your mp3 files automatically.

As for audio/video conversion utilities, I prefer to use Xilisoft Video Converter 'coz it supports every audio/video format I use, including but not limited to:
MP3, OGG, AAC, RA, WMA, WAV, AC3, M4A, DVD, MOV, QT, RM, RAM, AVI, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, ASF, DV, 3GP.
