Most .wmv files are just .asf files with a different file extension. Windows Media files for Windows XP and Vista should be absolutely identical. |

I have IBX version 11.0.5497.6285 as stated in the tutorial of milOtis
Automatic Windows Updates are turned off
I didn't try drmdbg on this machine yet, but I've tried it before and found it quite hard to work with (didn't always work).
I know that .wmv and .asf are identical, that's why I changed the extension to see if that made a difference but sadly it didn't
