so I am a new user of dm800a (hisharp company) and I'm trying to access my dvr remotely via internet!
So I started to configure the dvr by giving to it a name a static ip,
subnet mask, gateway, chose network type dhcp and now the fun part: ports.
I have a sagem 2404 and it gave me real hard times to forward the desired ports. Although I was very patient and finally by port triggering fixed my problem.
So now I have my ports set in router and dvr and trying to achieve an internet connection.
my dvr came with a software called nnetwork viewer where you enter the ip adress and the port, then you login (admin or user to the dvr) and connect to it. Before the correct port forward I could only make this process local so I could view inside my local network.
Now I can login via internet connection but I don't have any signal
no picture no nothing!
What is going on? Is there other settings for a proper dvr setup??
plz guys help me out!
p.s. I also made a dyndns hostname which I can use to connect to my dvr locally .
The strange thing is that when I m trying to connect through my web browser by entering 192.168.x.x:port I get a connection time out.
What is wrong with my dvr?
p.s.2: I m using windows vista, firewall turned off
