The PRO mode of WM Recorder allows to capture packets from Windows Media Player and Real Player, so it is recommended for live streams.

Depending on your connection you may prefer to use WM Capture or any other screen video capture software for live streams. Although IMHO WM Recorder is very good for live Windows Media streams.
