I've tried several video streams from channelsurfing.net. I've found live RTMP and HTTP flash video streams, RTSP Windows Media streams.

You may try Replay Media Catcher for recording live RTMP and HTTP streams, WM Recorder to record live Windows Media streams.

Also it might be a better idea to record live videos from screen using screen video capture software.
