Question

RTMPT/E + SWF Verfication links sniffing.

Hi, I'd been trying many different windows apps. to sniff encrypted links, and I'm wondering why none WinPCap-based sniffer, like Wireshark or URL Snooper, are able to detect some of them? I mean, for example, when trying to sniff the RTMPE and SWF verifications links from the HULU site, those apps. weren't able to detect anything at all. And at the same time, I just was amazed with GetFLV, which not only was the only app. which detected them, but it did it without even I had to wait till the main video reproduces, without waiting for the ads, etc; and it showed me all the links, from all the different video qualities too. This is the only app. I tested till now, which was able to do all that.

Do somebody know some other apps/sniffers that are able to do the same that GetFLV, or at least detect the encrypted links?

Thanks.

You can also try StreamTransport, CooJah + Blader and get-flash-videos.

Coojah + Blader can find RTMPE URL,or just use HxD hex editor to find URL by searching the memory of the browser.

Re: RTMPT/E + SWF Verfication links sniffing.

Thanks for the replies. I already tried CooJah + Blader, but it didn't detected the RTMPE links rightly; it told me something like the link was bad parsed. I contacted the author, and it told me it couldn't do it, because HULU uses SWF verification links, which Blader doesn't support.

Regarding StreamTransport, sometimes it doesn't work with HULU videos or some other video streaming sites which use RTMPT/E + SWF verification, but even in the cases when it does work, it just bring me the link from the specific video quality I'm currently reproducing, and not the complete videos list like GetFLV does; and I have to see all the ads before getting the link from the video I'm seeing.

And yes, I find out the RAM viewer feature from hex editors are the "ultimate" solution, when you can't figure out what the RTMPT/E links are.

Re: RTMPT/E + SWF Verfication links sniffing.

I am having problems with a previously working installation of CooJah + Blader and get-flash-videos, is anyone else having a problem downloading hulu videos with this tool? It is very preferrable as it is command line based and therefore easy to make a script to run it with multiple variations of inputs. If someone can verify that this is not working I would appreciate it.
