Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect?Hi all!
I'm hoping to get advice from the masterminds of this forum I'm using RMC6 to capture video streams, but it fails to detect video streams on a lot of sites (such as livestream.com, younow.com, vichatter.com and others.) I think it's because the video streams are on ports that RMC6 isn't detecting, because the program does catch video streams on other websites like youtube. Which protocol/port settings would you recommend me using? Grateful for your advice! |

Re: Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect? You should try with some network sniffer to find out exact port that is used. For that purpose you can use application called "wireshark".
At the beginning it may look complicated to basic users but even with a little knowledge you will be able to figure out by yourself where to find exact port. Sorry, at the moment I don't have the time to post and the download link of the app here but is easy to find. Just use google. By the way, there may be some even easier ways so if anyone knows I hope he will reply here. Good luck. |

Re: Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect? Thanks for replying!
I investigated with Wireshark as you suggested, and tried a few other methods like the windows resource monitr. They seem to suggest the ports are 443 and 1935 which (I think) was already enabled by default in replay media catcher. But that leaves me clueless what the problem could be. If rmc hadn't detected video streams from any source then I would've suspected it didn't see my network traffic; if it had detected the video stream from those websites but refused to capture properly then I could've investigated relevant settings. But the way rmc seems completely blind to the video streams confuses me a great deal. |

Re: Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect? If RMC is detecting other videos without any issues than I guess it is working ok.
Now, if it can not detect any video that you are tring to record/download it not be the first time that it needs application update that will support such kind of a streams. From my perspective, and I guess from yours too as I could see, it is quite unusual that RMC is completely blind. What I would suggest is that you post the link of the videos you are trying to capture here and someone may be able to give you advice. Don't forget, if it is by any chance adult stream, post it in the adult section. Good luck |

Re: Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect? Thanks wizard, I appreciate the help!
Ok so here's an example link, it's to a recorded music show on younow: https://www.younow.com/SamWickens/72...tober-21,-2015 In my case Replay Media Catcher downloaded a sound effect, but it didn't catch the video stream. I couldn't provide links to vichatter.com because the shows are live and last below half an hour |

Re: Replay Media Catcher 6 - Which ports to detect?I have just tried and I can confirm to you that latest Tubedigger can get you that video
http://tubedigger.com/ By the way, so far, TD is the best application for video stream downloading that I have ever used (and be sure I have tried many of them). |
