I just purchased a video from Amazon VOD and need to remove DRM protection from itI know that this question has been posted before on here, but I need to post it myself so I can be able to talk to people personally to help guide me through this mess.
From research I've done I've seen that I need to strip the video of the drm protection. I downloaded the program fairuse and tried to run it, but it would not even start up--said something like I need to find keys. I didn't really understand this. My question is what program do I need to get, that doesn't go through a million hurdles and is hard to understand, in order to strip the drm protection? I guess the next step after that is a conversion program. What should I get to convert the file to DVD? |

Re: I just purchased a video from Amazon VOD and need to remove DRM protection from iI don't really know what format Amazon VOD uses. But you can re-record any video using a screen recorder like Replay Video Capture

REmoving DRM from Amazon VODI just downloaded a trial version of the program Aimersoft Media Converter. I put in the amazon video that I bought and the converter ouputted a movie file 1 minute long, which is the maximum time for the trial version. The ouputted file is in the format VOB.
I tried to click and drag the outputted video into nero to burn it to see if it would work on my dvd player but it would not drag onto it, for whatever reason. My question is, has anyone on here used this program, and do you know if it works for drm stripping and file conversion to dvd? I'm not sure if it's not letting me drag the file into nero because I'm only using the trial version. I looked through the companies website and the only thing they state about the trial version is that it's limited to 1 minute for a converted video. |

Re: REmoving DRM from Amazon VODThe only thing I know about Aimersoft (as well as other brands used by Wondershare) is that they send spam. So their "soft" is automatically out of my list of recommended programs. I don't support spammers, so I don't want to encourage them to produce more trash content.
Anyway, any lossy DRM removal software works like screen video capture program when re-recording videos. So you can use any screen recorder that supports MPEG-2 video codec. Then it would be a good idea to author DVD-Video from MPG videos files without any quality loss. Note that MPEG-2 video files need to be DVD compliant to avoid recompression: - Video 720x576 (PAL) or 720x480 (NTSC) - Audio MP2 or AC3, 48000Hz |
