Recording using Blackmagic intensity Pro: Record from HDMI and play in full screenI am a keen Gamer on the Xbox360, I have been enjoying recording and editing my game-play, however I have decided to try and make a go at actually trying to produce a professorial looking video and posting it on YouTube.
I have made 3 videos and understand the fundamentals of recording and editing by using a Dazzle video capture card then by editing it with Sony Vegas pro 9. However now I have decided that I want to make an effort and just bought a Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card, so I can record in HD. This is where I am at -- I have hooked everything up installed everything and manage to get a working station. My goal at the moment is to spend no more money lol but be able to record from my Xbox360's HDMI I have achieved this, by buying a Blackmagic intensity Pro which some else mentioned. So at the moment I can record video footage from my Xbox360 in real time, preview it on my PC but with no sound record and only a small preview screen. The Blackmagic intensity pro come with Blackmagic media express program to do this. So therefore my first question is :- is there a another program that I could use that is compatible with the intensity pro to record the images from the HDMI input, which allows me preview in real time with sound and the ability to view the preview screen in full, whilst recording. Thus allow me to play my game from the preview screen with out lag enabling me to work on my PC record and play from one screen please say this makes sense. Hope someone can help me? THANX in advance! HOPE THIS ALL MAKES SENSE AND NOBODY SCARES ME OFF! Looking for friends that like doing the same thing hit me up! must have sense of humor, not a bad looser to the extreme of bitching about every little death etc basically mature adult gamers! Re: Recording using a Blackmagic intensity Pro questionBlackmagic Intensity Pro allows to use its own Media Express application to capture audio and video from HDMI. You can also use freeware VirtualDub for that.
The manual also explains how to use Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas Pro 9 to capture from the card: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/dow...sityManual.pdf If you can do it with Sony Vegas Pro 9 and Dazzle, you should be able to do the same with Intensity Pro. Contact Blackmagic Design support to make sure. |
