Recording rtmp stream from humma.com

I was trying to record an rtmp stream from the site humma.com.
After some initial trials i ended up on a page that displayed the following...

Code:
<playlist version="1">
<trackList>
<track>
<title>Sola Solla 1</title>
<album>102120^AO S Arun Sandhya^AGangai Amaran, Premji^AGangai Amaran</album>
<creator>Amma The Mother</creator>
<location>rtmpt://72.167.41.155/Hummaa/songs/kosmic_music/</location>
<identifier>mp3:KM00365</identifier>
<meta rel="type">rtmp</meta>
<image>http://www.hummaa.com/img/kosmic/AMMA THE MOTHER.jpg
</image>
</track>
</trackList>
</playlist>
I tried grabbing the stream using 'Orbit' recorder... But it doesn't see to work for this stream. Is there a free software of some sort to grab this stream ?

I don't really know any way to find RTMP stream URLs. If you can find it, you can try to use Orbit Downloader.

The only stream capturing software that supports rtmp:// MP3 audio streams is Replay Media Catcher.

Re: Recording rtmp stream from humma.com

in same dilemma as ganesh, just cant download off this site, it never gives out the rtmp url, not even replay media catcher can get the link.

on the contrary dhingana.com a similar site works with replay media catcher, i've also been successful on dhingana.com downloading songs in mp3 by just using URL snooper

but no success with hummaa.com, have virtually tried almost everything, including orbit downloader, all applian products and even metaproducts offline explorer pro, without any success

Re: Recording rtmp stream from humma.com

For whatever reason I can't play any audio stream at hummaa.com.

They use flash player. HTTP streams from flash player can be easily recorded. You can download them even with your browser.

As for RTMP streams, you can try Replay Media Catcher and FLV Recorder. Please note that, unlike Replay Media Catcher, FLV Recorder can record FLV streams only.

And I don't know how to find RTMP stream URL for Orbit Downloader.

Re: Recording rtmp stream from humma.com

The website uses Flash RTMP over HTTP protocol using TCP sockets... (RTMPT - RTMP Tunneling). It's to get past firewalls which strictly only allow HTTP data transfer via Port 80.

Such streams should be supported in the next release of Replay Media Catcher.

oh ok, i have already tried replay media catcher, it wasnt able to download the track, and the thing is when replay media catcher is active hummaa.com player won't play the track, it just keeps loading, as soon as you close replay media catcher, the song starts to play again, i guess its some problem with one of media catchers plugin

replay media catcher apart, is there any other possible method to get the track over at hummaa?

have you tried dhingana.com? i've been able to download off there using URL snooper

I used to think dhingana and hummaa use almost similar players, but with hummaa URL snooper can sniff only the flash players .exe link not the real url embedded within it.

Is there any other possible method?

I couldn't play anything at hummaa, but I didn't know that it was due to the Replay Media Catcher. Will send a notice to the developer.

Can you capture these streams with any other software? I don't know any other stream ripper that can do that.

Can you record from your sound card? Obviously yes. Just use any direct sound recording software.

URL Snooper has no any problem at finding HTTP stream URLs, but here RTMPT is used and URL Snooper can't seem to handle such URLs correctly.

If you know any other way of finding RTMP, RTMPT stream URLs, you can try to record from them with Orbit Downloader.

i don't use I.E.

Tried to play in Firefox and download with Replay Media Catcher 4.1.6 and didn't have any problem. The web-site still uses RTMPT streams:
