problem downloading rtsp link by hidownload, netxfer, rmrecorder (proxy on a lan)

Hi guys.
This might be totally dumb of me..but i can't seem to downlaod any real stream using HiDownload, NetXFer, WM Recorder. I have tried lots of them.
I am having a lan connection through a proxy server on windows vista.

HiDownload willingly downloads all http links but for rtsp links it doesn't.
I have went through a couple of posts but could not find much help.
Does anybody have any clues...
thnx in advance

Can you play these streams on your computer? If you can, you can use the PRO mode of WM Recorder to record them.

If rtsp protocol is not available for you, you can try to change URLs from

rtsp://www.site.com/somedir/somestream.rm

to

http://www.site.com:554/somedir/somestream.rm (RTSP port is used)

or

http://www.site.com:7070/somedir/somestream.rm (PNM port is used)

I tried both the above tricks. Unfortunately they did not work.
In my real player tools->preferences->network transports->rtsp settings i have unchecked all but the last option(attempt to use http for all content). That's probably the reason why real player is able to stream.

The problem with WM Recorder 9.0 is that i am unable to setup my LAN proxy settings.
The log says: Connected.Password denied
does that make any sense?
thnx for the help

Can you play real streams in Real Player?

What recording mode of WM Recorder do you use?

If you can play the streams, you should be able to record them with WM Recorder in the PRO mode. I suggest you to try a newer version.

You can also try to find URLs that are used when playing with Real Player. You can use freeware URL Snooper for that. Try to download these URLs with NetXFer, HiDownload,...
