I would like some advice on a new adult streaming site I would like to create. Can someone please tell me what kind of software like LiveJasmin is using and what kind of bandwidth is required to have a good flow of video stream and audio if possible.

You will need streaming server software like freeware red5, commercial Adobe FMS.

As for the bandwidth, it is not much bigger than video files that you transfer. It is easy to see how big say flash video files of a particular bitrate and duration are. You can record files from other web-sites or convert your own files. Estimate the number of simultaneous visitors and you should be able to calculate the bandwidth you will need.

If you don't know how to do it yourself, you may hire an experienced freelancer.

I asked myself the same question that you did, only I am just curious how streaming works, you want to start a website.
It's not easy to figure out how adult live streaming really works.

From what I have found out, the streams are provided by streaming software, such as Adobe Flash Media Server. This creates the rtmp stream, that is published on the website.

From the side of the performer, I think they use a program like Adobe Flash Media Live Recorder.
This program records the video from the webcam, and transforms it to a rtmp stream.

It creates a flash file ( .flv ) that is streamed via rtmp protocol.

My guess is, that the rtmp stream from the computer of the performer,goes to the main server of the adult camsite, from where it published on the website.

I have tried this software myself, and managed to get a live stream of my webcam on a website.
Actually, I found this to be fairly easy, but this is just for 1 webcam stream. The way that adult sites like livejasmin do this, it is way more complicated.
If you want to set this up professionally, I agree hiring an expert is the best way to go.

Hi BigMacCy, there are several types of software to create adult web sites with streaming video. In my opinion, the best is xstreamer, the same software used by famous websites such as PornHub, PornTube, Xutbe and many other websites with video streaming for adults. The most convenient solution is to rent a virtual server choosing a good web provider, with a good connection and a backup service. If you need more information, ask me whenever you want.

I know there are special hosting offers for adult websites, I also know special website templates exist for this type of content. I used templatemonster.com/blog/free-website-templates/ for mine, I am sure you will find an appropriate scratch, too.
