Help to view Q-See QT426 DVR remotely

 

i bought a Q-See QT426 dvr. installed and now trying to bring it online where i can view remotely when i am away from my location. what needs to be done? i was assigned a public ip by my net provider and the router brand its a 2wire. whats an easy install procedure on this matter for a dummy like me? i gave up following q-see guide.

i am able to view the dvr via the router access. i have done all the adjustments (port forwarding etc.). now the nxt problem is upon entering my static ip from a different location i get the webpage for the camera

username: admin
password: (i enter the password)

the internet explorer quits working. i am running explorer 9. anything i need to do or change the browser to mozilla.
almost there help pls greatly appreciated

k here the new dilemma. done all the install and running smooth but. i have explorer 9 and it won't let me access the cams. i uninstalled explorer 9 and with internet explorer 8 i can view all the cams. whats the reason for this issue? some kind of protocol on explorer 9?

May be some security settings of I.E.9
