Help! Hughes satellite and streaming video

I upgraded to Hughes satellite and am trying to get streaming video and it does not work. I use Media player 10 and when I start it up it does not say buffering then says it is connected at 30 bits per second. On the dial up I have it says buffering then goes to 30 bits per second and some times works.My speed is any where from 400 to 600. Any Ideas?

Sorry, but I don't know much about satellite internet. Is suggest you to contact the support of Hughes satellite.

AFAIK some satellite internet providers support only basic internet protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS and do not support protocols used for streaming media such as RTSP, RTMP, PNM, MMS.

What kind of stream are you trying to watch? Is it a live or on-demand stream?
