Darwin streaming server problem: RTSP audio streaming is not working on Galaxy S

 

Hi,

I have a requirement, playing song previews on mobile phones over rtsp. For this I'm using Darwin streaming server and AAC/3GP, AMR-NB/3GP file formats. It is working fine in Symbian but when we test in 'GALAXY S' it is throwing error 'Sorry, this video cannot played'. Actually there is no video we have only audio stream.

Any help will be appreciated.

I don't have Android... and I have no idea whether there are any players supporting Darwin Stream Server.

May be you need to use another player for Android. Or just to ask the developer(s) to fix the problem with RTSP streams.

May be you can use HTTP streams instead.

I have used mp3 stream over http using Icecast server. But it is directly getting downloaded then playing instead playing on fly.

AFAIK there are several Android applications that play music from the cloud. They work somehow... not sure whether they can play live streams or need to download first.

It got solved.

The problem is with Darwin Streaming Server installation. I have reinstalled it by following the instructions given in http://dss.macosforge.org/trac/ticket/6
