Can Roxio Game Capture record HD videos (at least 720p or 1080i)?

 

Can Roxio Game Capture record HD videos (at least 720p or 1080i)? I found that you can play xbox 360 and ps3 videos in HD while recording with Roxio Game Capture, but can't find out whether 480p video resolution is the best it can capture. Any help is appreciated.

You can play in HD when recording with Roxio Game Capture, but it allows you to record SD videos (up to 480p) only. External 720p video capture cards cost about $100 more.

People post saying RoxioGamCap records from hd into sd, but it does HD as well. I have recorded and upload videos in 1080 30fps and 720 60fps.

You call crappy 480p upscaling HD??? And I wonder how you can possibly get 1080p video through component connection???

Show me the Roxio specification that says that GameCap allows to record at least 720p videos.

You can play in 1080i or 720p, but you will be able to record SD video only.

Look at the roxio in pictures, it has hd inputs and outputs, go on roxio software that is given and you have the option to upload in Divx hd 1080p 30fps / Divx HD 720 30fps / Divx HD 720 60fps, SMD plz

Roxio Game Capture allows to PLAY in HD, so obviously it should have HD inputs and HD outputs. Unfortunately it has component video input and output only, which allows to transfer 720p video only. But the biggest problem is that it CANNOT RECORD HD videos. So there is no any sense to spend $99 for upconverting SD videos onto HD videos.
