How to watch 3D Stereoscopic Movies&Cartoons (Blu Ray,.MKV) on HP Envy 17 3D Notebook

 

If you have an HP Envy 17 3D Notebook system go here: www.ddd.com/hp-envy and follow the steps. It will check to make sure you have the right system and allow you to download and install the TriDef 3D Media Player (as well as TriDef 3D Ignition and TriDef 3D Experience software).

TriDef software allows to watch 3D movies, view 2D photos and movies in 3D, play nearly any PC game in 3D, view Google Earth in 3D, enjoy premium 3D content from sites such as Yabazam.com. If you own an HP ENVY 17 3D laptop then you can use TriDef 3D for free!

The major problem is that TriDef software can't play Blu-Ray 3D movies or .MKV 3D movies. But you can use HP Media Smart DVD (which is pre-installed on HP Envy 17 3D) for watching Blu-Ray 3D movies.

I used autodetection for the 3D display of HP Envy 17 3D. Side-by-side as well as top-over-bottom .MKV 3D movies played just fine. Didn't have any problem playing 3D .MVC demo videos that come with the laptop as well.
