I have plenty of questions:

1. Do you use HDMI connection?
2. What kind of video output have you tried on your xbox 360 (video resolution, NTSC or PAL)?
3. Do you get any picture in Media Express? What other software have you used?
4. What kind of motherboard do you have?
5. Can you record from other sources?
6. Have you tried to contact Blackmagic Design support?

Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle is very picky when it comes to video resolution and framerate. You will only see video Media Express or other capture software to the same resolution as is coming from your xbox 360. If your Xbox is using PAL instead of NTSC, then use 1080i50 instead of 1080i60.

Yes i use Hdmi

I have tried 1080p, 1080i, 720p and as follow on the Shuttle software

I get no Video. I have also tried Vid blaster, Ulead software and Vidcap 60

Gigabyte X58A-UDR3R

I can record from a old Playstation 2 but only using Rca

I have not contacted blackmagic suppurt just yet

My input is also set as Hdmi Video & Hdmi Audio, is this right?

Are you trying to record HD movies from xbox? Then there will be HDCP.

To record from HDMI with HDCP you can use the "analog hole":
How to capture/record from HDMI with HDCP?

Have you tried to use component video? Does it work? Do you have problems when using HDMI only?

So i need a HDCP stipper to remove it so i can record?

I haven't tried using component video as i have no idea how to make the video resolution match the games aswell.

The only way to record HDMI with HDCP I know is by converting digital video to analog (HDMI to component video).

But AFAIK PS3 uses HDCP protection and xbox 360 does NOT use HDCP for gameplays.

I don't think the problem is whether the content is HDCP encrypted or not, the link is via HDMI and the link (meaning hardware) won't allow you to pass HD Digital content. This is an absolute pain as in the past you could connect a PC to a Production Switcher and output the content without a problem now with all Graphics cards being HDCP compliant you can't. The only way round this is an HDCP stripper.
Converting to component video would be another option and is much cheaper with negligible loss in quality for your needs.

HDCP HDMI to VGA + SPDIF RGB Component Ypbpr Converter v1.3b

You can get it from Amazon for $32
You can then use the VGA or Component output
Hope this helps
