DVR is inexpensive to think about, however, if you are considering the NVR solution that can be expanded more easily and access from anywhere you are online, you may also try Plustek slim series NVR standalone, my boss (bakery owner) and my family both used their system and found it really easy to install and operate, even my daughter knows how to use it to display when last time Hulk (our dog) broke the furniture with its strong feet....no body was in the house but Plustek did work.

another reason i would recommend is that, the HDD is included in the slim series, which says i don't need an extra purchase for HDD and the maintenance is with the manufacturer. hope this helps!

It is good you are asking people to help you out find the security camera systems, but I will advise you to do more research by reading review articles on security camera systems. It is always advisable to do some research on a security camera system before you go out and spend money on it.

I am new at the game of security cameras and the whole 9 yards. However, I have learned a few things sense I started trying to research this area before I purchased a system and finally found this forum. I have a very tight buget and tried to find the best I could for the bucks I had to spend. One thing I found is this, IR cameras are good but many are not water tight but "resistant only." Also, if you live where the weather gets below -10 C., the cameras for the most part will not operate or, take a very long while to come on line. I also found that many of the less expenxive IR Cameras at least, will not be able to "see" at night if, they are mounted behind a glass lens such as an outdoor housing. The infrared lights totally glare behind the glass and blind the cameras completely making them useless at night! I posted about the HTC-207 cameras and through much trial and error find that you need to be a real patent person if your are alone and have to focus them but they do work well in the outdoor housings. I can't comment on their HTC IR-207 cameras as they evadently have replaced my model cameras. From what I have been through up to this moment, documentation on many of the less expensive cameras is either little to none if you purchase them from many of the on-line suppliers. At least, this is my experiences thus far. Hopefully, this might be of some help in your purchases?

I am speaking about "wired" cameras above. Most Wireless are also fair weather units I checked out as well. I do not know about the high end units.

If you want to buy camera then buy Wireless security Camera because it is Flexible in installation and power consumption with maximum performance. Wireless security camera systems can be used indoor or outdoor it would be better for you to use.
