Can someone recommend an average Video stream recording device that works on any site

Hello,
I'm looking for a device that can lets you record from any website, it doesn't have to be outstanding, and I don't mind paying, but I wouldn't mind a free 1 either:D.
I'd like to be able to record live streams that aren't downloadable, tutorials and even a bit of porn:D.
And of course audio.

I'm sure I probably missed something, but I guess, You get the idea:).

Any help will be much appreciated,

Thanks.

Are you looking for a hardware device or software for recording video streams?

My recommendations:
All streaming media recording software

I use commercial Replay Capture Suite for recording audio, video streams and converting them. And I also use freeware StreamTransport, CooJah + Blader, rtmpsuck.

the most versatile tools which can "save anything to disk" are recording tools such as Replay Capture Suite.

let's not confuse the term "recording tool" with the term "download tool" or "stream capture tool". Replay Media Catcher is, in my eyes, not a recording tool but a download tool specialized on capturing streams and downloading them. (RMC does have a recording mode .. but that's anotha story ;) )

true recording tools are ARM (Applian Replay Music) or TR (www.totalrecorder.com). those tools dont download, but record.

I agree that recording should mean recording from screen (or capturing from screen) with software like Replay Video Capture and recording from your sound card with software like Replay Music. Replay Media Catcher indeed downloads streams or captures them from your local computer while you play them. However I still prefer to use the term recording when I don't want to go into the details on whether the program downloads, captures or both.
