video.tau.ac.il: download stream WMV file

 

Hi,

I'm using HiDownload 7.31 and try to download the file:
mms://msvideo.tau.ac.il/CMS/0321/3101/0321310101-20101-4300.wmv

but it doesnt work.
someone told my to change the mms to rtsp:

rtsp://msvideo.tau.ac.il/CMS/0321/3101/0321310101-20101-4300.wmv

but it sill doesnt work.

Can someone help me with this?

Adam, that's a good one. challenging.
i wasnt able to download it either :(

WM Recorder fails. (NE1 feel free to re-try.)
WM Downloader fails. (NE1 feel free to re-try.)
SDP fails. (NE1 feel free to re-try.)
HiDownload fails. (i havent retried. i believe you.)
and my secret ;) tools fail too.
i wont waste my time with further testings (NetXFer, Flashget, Flashgot, IDM, DownloadHelper, etc.), no thanks.

I can't play this stream, so can't record it. Please post the URL of a web-page where this stream can be found.

I can play in WMP and download other free videos from the same website, as for example this one:

But I can't even play the one you mentioned; I'm afraid it corresponds to a restricted area from the same site, which offers curses to students. And maybe the link is right, but it needs you are logged in, before see/download it. :confused:

MMS streams can be captured with freeware WebVideoCap or shareware WM Recorder in the PRO mode. So if you can't download such streams with freeware GetASFStream, SDPReceiver, shareware WMR in the ADA recording mode, than just capture the stream in real time.
