Webinar capture - Not smart enough to know what to ask yetI stumbled onto this forum because I have a fairly specific application at this time. I know NOTHING about video capture.
I want to be able to record webinars. Most systems have a downloadable piece of software that sits on the client. Not sure if I can mention a specific webinar system/ service here or not, or if it matters. Will a generic capture progarm do the job, or is every webinar company doing something proprietary to make it difficult? If generic, what software is a good place to start? A free trial/modest fee software would be fine. If proprietary, what questions do I ask next? Will the resulting captured file be editable, and what format will it be in? Or if I get a choice, what format is best to be able to chop and resequence the webinar later? Will most any video editing program be okay ? Thats all for now. Thanks to anyone who points me in the right direction !! |
Re: Webinar capture - Not smart enough to know what to ask yetMost webinars can be recorded from screen with screen recorders. There are lots of them and some of them are 100% free. You can use MPEG-2, Windows Media as well as many other video codecs for recording from screen, so editing shouldn't be a problem.
