What eReader (ebook reader) to purchase: Kindle, Sony Reader, Nook?

I plan to remove DRM anyway so that I and my wife can use different readers, and so that I have more flexibility in the future not worrying about closed ebook shops.

What ebook reader is the most friendly with Calibre that I plan to use for ebook conversions?

All these eReaders seems to be good. Since DRM removal tools stop working from time to time, and many large ebook shops don't sell ebooks in universal format, I recommend to buy an eReader that supports ebooks from shops you will be buying the most.

Also I recommend to pay attention to the screen size. Large screen is a must have for some types of books.
