CityTV.com - can't record this video

 

I'm trying to record the video at (in main window, after preroll commercial). None of my usual tricks worked, so I tried WM Recorder. (Demo version) It also failed. I tried both ADA and WMX modes. I double-checked that my browser was listed in the "When WMX mode is used" window.

The status window shows 2 videos (the second being the preroll ad), but once the ad stops and the Breakfast Television segment begins, WMR doesn't record it.

What can I do differently? A recent answer to another poster said that citytv.com could be recorded without problem. Thanks for your help!

Hi!!!

Just use Opera Web Browser, play the video and then go to the Temporal Opera's Folder. :)

It is an RTMPE stream. Unlike HTTP flash video streams, RTMP and RTMPE streams are not cached by browsers (neither by Opera, nor by Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer).

WM Recorder doesn't support such streams, because the developer would violate the DMCA. You need an RTMPE recorder to record such streams. Or you can record them from screen using WM Capture

@StreamRecorder, thank you! I didn't even know about RTMPE. I just used the free StreamTransport to successfully download all 3 videos I wanted.
