Pinnacle Studio and alternative software for recording from Dazzle

 

I have a Dazzle and im recording in Standard Definition, just looking for some quality software to use with the dazzle to record on as I don't have any with it as i brought it off my mate.

Also Im playing on PS3 and recording onto a laptop

The best thing you can do is probably to ask your mate to give you a CD/DVD with Pinnacle Studio as well. You can also try to contact Pinnacle support and say that you have lost DVD with software.

I've seen some people managed to record video from Dazzle DVC 100 by using freeware VirtualDub, but it records video only (because Windows VFW interface marks the incoming stream as a video stream, even though it has both audio and video multiplexed together). I've also seen people using screen video capture software for recording from Dazzle. I don't think these are good alternatives for Pinnacle Studio, but they are better than nothing.
