Can't get any sound when connecting my laptop to TV through HDMI

 

I can't get any sound when connecting my HP Pavilion DV6 laptop with my TV trough HDMI. Everything was working fine that was 3 weeks ago no when i try to connect to my 42 INCH Sony Bravia it just has NO SOUND at all i tried to turn up the volume on my tv i tried to change the different Port but no sound from tv only from the laptop i don't know what to do

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

Go to your "Control Panel" -> "Hardware and Sound" -> "Sound" -> "HDMI Device" and set it as default.

You may also need to restart an application you use to show videos. Video players usually switch to the newly connected HDMI device automatically, while browsers need to be restarted.
