* FLV Player can be used with a variety of media formats, including MPEG-4 and Flash Video, meaning that you can download and play content from most video sites on the web, including YouTube.
* With its resizable window, full-screen playback options and customized video search engine, FLV Player is the most user friendly player of its kind.
* FLV Player comes with no viruses or spyware, and at just 2.12 Mb, it makes for a quick, hassle free download.
* Unlike other Flash Video players available online, which charge all sorts of download fees, FLV Player is 100% free!

Download for FREE now! Click Here!

You can read the above mentioned on the flvdirect.com. The web-site claims the software is free, with no viruses or spyware, can download any tube video.

In reality it is a SCAM!!! Do not install the program. It can't download any video, but you will get SPYWARE onto your computer for sure!!!

It hijacks your URL randomly and shows ads instead of real content! There is nothing else that the program can do!!!

Here is a discussion how to remove it (in Russian, but I used google tranlate and was able to get rid of the malware)

Seems to be malware indeed. One of the quotes:

recently I downloaded this "FLV Direct Player", and it's really all just malware.

I managed to remove the portion that changes your homepage, and adds some toolbar, but I still get these annoying "LoudMo" add popups on pretty much every website I visit. I've been looking all over the internet but I can't find how to get rid of them. I don't see them in my programs list and malware bytes, AVG, and other scanners find nothing.

I'm using Vista 32bit if that matters.
It is interesting that virustotal.com shows that 0 of 40 antiviruses detect a virus in the download.

Don't want to test it on my computer.
