How to watch FLV files (flv codec) with mplayer?

How to watch FLV files (flv codec) with mplayer?

 

I got the win32 binary from http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php
and codec pack from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html

But the player doesn't play flv file,how to get mplayer working with flv codec flv file?
h264 and vp6 works,but not flv?

I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to. FLV videos support Sorenson Spark, Screen video, On2 VP6, Screen video 2, H.264 video codecs.

All FLV files I have tried were playing fine in SMPlayer. This includes the ones that show FLV1 as a video format (which use Sorenson Spark video codec) and are played with ffflv (FFMpeg Flash video) codec) and the one that show FLV4 as a video format (which use On2 VP6 video codec). But I use SMPlayer and Mplayer that comes with Ubuntu Linux, not a version for Windows.

What I meant is I can't play FLV1 codec flv file,when I open it with mplayer,it just popups and then disappear
However,the GUI version of mplayer(gmplayer) works for FLV1 and VP6,but it can't play H264 flv file

P.S any suggestions of other portable video player that can play any kind of FLV files?

SMPlayer portable and VLC player portable are portable players that should play all your FLV files without any problem
