candy.stream.yorku.ca - having trouble capturing mms:// .wmv stream

hello all,

I've tried a few of the video capturing softwares such as WM Capture, CamStudio, freez screen and a few recorders. None were successful in capturing/recording the the actually video; the playback would appear blank although it recorded the audio which wasnt surprising.

here is the stream: mms://candy.stream.yorku.ca/MediasiteUploads/c0d05c19-b400-4b1f-9202-00a02cd81a1f.wmv?eventid=f8bc8878-fb08-

anyway i can rip/capture it? or is it a secure protocol or something.

Would appreciate if anyone can help me on this one, thanks.

That's because you need to disable video acceleration before recording videos from Windows Media Player:

Even if it is protected, you can capture it with WM Recorder in the PRO mode. Note that WM Recorder doesn't record video from screen, in the PRO mode it captures packets from Windows Media Player, so you will get better quality with it.
