chatroulette.com uses RTMP flash video streams. You can capture them with Jaksta. Just go to the RTMP settings and change from downloading to recording.

And you can always use screen video capture software like Replay Video Capture or freeware CamStudio to record live web-cam chats.

Will Jaksta record video only or audio from ChatRoulette.com as well?

And if I use screen video capture software for recording from ChatRoulette.com will it be able to record video of both sides as well as audio of both sides?

Jaksta allows to record web-cam video with audio (So you can save rtmp:// .flv video stream as flash .flv file containing both video and audio).

Few screen recorders can record audio from both sides. Try to use Replay Video Capture with the universal audio driver.

If someone quit the cam can i record the stream without connecting on chatroulette ?

Chat Roulette uses RTMP streams broadcasted by FMS. 2 or more persons can't connect to the same stream, so you can't watch the stream and download it at the same time. And you won't be able to record when someone disconnects.

However, as already mentioned above, you can capture RTMP packets from chatroulette.com. Jaksta in the RTMP recording mode works just fine for me when recording from chatroulette.com.

Okay what is RTMP?? and how do you record someones video and at the same time have it as ur own webcam video?

Virtual web-cam software allows to use images, videos and even a part of your desktop instead of real web-cam. Select the area with your partner's web-cam video and use it.
