Is it possible for you to use the software Replay Media Catcher and edit the videos you capture afterwords?

I am looking for a software that I can use to download streaming videos to my computer, and then edit them later, using, perhaps, another video editing software. All I wish to do is make a video by using fragments of other video clips.

Any answers to my question and any other solutions?
