How to download Youtube videos and convert to open with MovieMaker

How do you download videos from youtube to your computer?
i need to download some videos and then convert them so i can put them in window movie maker to make a video project for my class. how do i do it? can you give me step by step instructions? thanks!

I suggest you to download YouTube video with Replay Media Catcher or any other software, web-site,.... And then edit downloaded FLV video with freeware AviDemux or VirtualDub instead of MovieMaker.

Replay Media Catcher is FREE for downloading YouTube videos.

You can also save YouTube videos with freeware Freecorder 4, Jaksta Free Media Recorder.

And you can use web-sites like http://download-youtube-videos.org/ to download YouTube videos for FREE without downloading any software.

Download real player or you tube downloader , before playing in real player, it will promt you for download .

Enter the FLV URL you get from YouTube to the blank on convertdirect.com, move your mouse to Download the online video directly, and click Download.

If you are using FireFox, click Save, when you face a pop-up window informing you to open, save or cancel the file. ?

If you are using Safari, you will face a pop-up window with Cancel, Open, Save button. Click Save and then you can change the file name and add .flv to the end in the file name box and click Save. You can also change the file name after the download. Please make sure to add .flv to the file name as file extension.

I use TuneBite Video Downloader and Converter, it downloads youtube videos and it can convert the videos.

I have the paid version as I wanted to have access to all its features but I saw on its website that there is also a free version which allows you to download youtube videos and convert them into the formats you need. ;)
