Could connecting s-video to TV result in losing the ability to connect wirelessly?

Hi all, I'm trying to connect my TV to my computer to stream youtube movies/videos. Background: I have an ATI Radeon 9200 128M video card with a S-video out. I would like to use the TV as the one and only monitor. My computer is running XP SP3 and connected to the internet via a wireless USB dongle.

The S-video and sound work well when I connect the yellow, red, and white cables to their respective positions. I see the desktop and can hear through the TV speakers. However, when I go to connect to the internet, the wireless dongle does not see any wireless networks. It says it can't find any networks even though mine is broadcasting and so are many of my neighbors'. The wireless internet was working correctly (in that it saw many networks and was able to successfully connect to mine and surf) prior to TV connection. When I removed the monitor and plugged in the TV, the wireless did not function anymore. When I removed the TV and replaced it with a regular monitor, the wireless internet still did not see any networks. I was wondering if anyone knows why connecting the TV would result in losing the ability to connect wirelessly? Thanks!

There could be conflicts with hardware... but I don't really know how connecting through S-Video could cause problems to wireless Internet.

You can try your wireless dongle on another PC to make sure it works. If it does, you can try to use it on a clean OS.
