Tunebite is a scam??? Beware: It can't record from Hulu and any encrypted videos!!!

I've noticed that Tunebite and many other web-sites boast Tunebite can record Encrypted RTMP streaming videos from Hulu and many other web-sites. Beware: Tunebite does NOT support any encrypted audio/video streams, so it can't record videos from Hulu that use Adobe Secure RTMP Measures (RTMPE). It just can record from screen, like any screen video capture software.

You can use freeware or shareware RTMPE recorders to download/rip/capture videos from Hulu!!! Unlike misleading Tunebite these programs do not record from your screen, they do support secure RTMPE protocol!

I really don't know what basis you have to say that, but let me disagree. First, now hulu don't have .flv extensions anymore since there are so many software on the market which are able to download movies, it has only rtmpe. The 3 software you recommended they don't download rtmpe files, rtmpe can only be recorded by screen capturing. Those 3 software can support flv, not rtmpe. Tunebite capture all the images u select for capturing.

Stop deceiving people or you will be banned! This is your last warning.

If Tunebite can't download RTMPE videos and can only capture videos from screen, it does NOT mean that other programs can't download/capture RTMPE streams.

All the above mentioned programs were able to download/capture Hulu RTMPE streams until last thursday.

I am very sorry if you think I'm deceiving users, really this wasn't my intention, I just wanted to point out TuneBite's features, as I am one of its devoted users. Sorry again but you misunderstood my intention.....:(

Hi, I'm not so good in computer's field and don't know exactly what this tunebite does, but my best friend has it and he all day long says that he downloaded some movies from hulu with TuneBite. I get youtube videos with a firefox extension and also tried to get hulu's movies by the same method. Couldn't do that. So, of course I asked my friend and said those movies are somehow encrypted and he gets them with tunebite.
I'm just saying that, cause I know from my friend that tunebite can record hulu, don't know other details.

There are lots of screen video capture programs that can record Hulu and many other videos from screen. There are also RTMPE stream downloaders that unlike TuneBite can download videos from Hulu. For example: freeware rtmpdump was able to download RTMPE videos from Hulu until recently.

The way TuneBite is promoted seems to be too sneaky. I hope all the users will understand that and revert to software that doesn't need dishonest ways of promotion, i.e.:
  • claiming that there are no programs that can download RTMPE streams, while there are RTMPE downloaders and it is the TuneBite that can NOT download secure RTMPE streams.
  • calling program freeware and offering the purchase button at the same time (while not explaining clearly what freeware means)

But many web-sites and magazines tell us that TuneBite can record from Hulu and Netflix.

I didn't say that TuneBite can't record from screen. It can record Hulu and Netflix videos from screen like dozens of other screen video capture programs. Tunebite is just not one of my favorite programs, because Hulu videos can be downloaded using RTMPE downloaders, because I don't like deceiving way of promoting software by RapidSolutions, and because of several other reasons.
