free audio books

You can actually find a few sites offering free audio books. http://www.audiobooks.net , http://librivox.org , audiobooksforfree.com and many others.

Generally these are all public domain audio books but they still better than nothing and you can find some real gems among them.

I've used free audio books from www.audiobooksforfree.com . The quality of audio books was not very high and I don't really like to listen to ads, but it really is better than nothing.

I've downloaded several free public domain audio books from http://librivox.org/ and I was really impressed that many of them were of a high quality.

Many audio book sites also offer a few free audio book downloads.
I have tried several but the one that I keep going back to is http://anonym.to/?http://downloadaudiobooks.net although most of them do offer some free downloads.

They only offer a small selection free ones, the rest seem to be $20+...but to each his/her own I suppose.

Re: free audio books

You're right, the site I'm talking about http://anonym.to/?http://downloadaudiobooks.net has about 6 or 7 free full length mp3 audio books at any given time but has thousands more at different purchase prices.

But most of the major audiobook sites don't even offer any free downloads and they require you to buy membership to download their products.
