What happened to wax-files for WMP??For many years I am using .wax-files on my website as a buffer between the site and the mp3's and wma's (www.78rpm.hovers.nl).
And for many years all worked perfectly. But recently it seems as if the wax-files are not supported anymore by the Windows Mediaplayer. The wax-files on my PC and on my server can't be opened anymore. I tried everything, but in fact I didn't change anything neither. It worked perfectly for so many years. What has happened? Has Microsoft change anything in the WMP? And if I can't use .wax files anymore, what is a good alternative, also for making clickable playlists for my visitors? Please help! Re: What happened to wax-files for WMP??Try .ASX metafiles. They have the same structure as .WAX files (WAX files are just ASX metafiles used for audio streams).
