How to re-broadcast your TVants stream with freeware VLC Player

To re-broadcast your TVants stream with VLC:
  1. Open a stream in TVants and let it buffer.
  2. Right click on the picture -> "copy" the .asf address.
  3. Then close the viewer and leave TVants program running in the backround (closing TVants closes the stream)
  4. Open VLC
  5. Go to "Media" -> "Open Network..."
  6. Select the HTTP protocol
  7. "Paste" the .asf URL address into the Address editbox
  8. Hit the button at the left of the "Play" button and select "Stream" (Alternatively you can press "ALT+S").
  9. In the "Stream Output" dialog check the "MMSH" and enter "127.0.0.1" into the "Address" editbox. Enter "1234" into the "Port" editbox.
  10. Hit the "Stream" button.
