Help to capture from DVD player...to ipod

I want to add the dvd that I play through my computer... into my Ipod... I have no problem "catching" youtube..etc, but I want to put a DVD into my computer and play it... and SEND it to my Ipod.. I THOUGHT that whatever played on my computer screen would be sent to the Replay Media Catcher, but nothing happens when I play a dvd on my computer...HELP!

Replay Media Catcher can't capture/rip DVD-Video discs, nor can it capture from screen.

You can capture DVD Video from your graphics card, TV tuner card, capture card using screen video capture program like Replay Video Capture.

However it is easier to rip a DVD and convert it:

why don't you use dvd ripper software?
