TVU player 2.4.7.2 problems: blurred picture with shockingly fluorescent colours

I have had to make a fresh install of Windows XP and, as a result, lost my TVU installation. I have downloaded and installed TVU 2.4.7.2 and find that, when I open many channels, the advertisement feature has a very clear picture, but, when the stream starts, I get an extremely blurred picture with shockingly fluorescent colours. This was never a problem before and I have no idea why it happens.:(

Why don't you just download an older version such as 2.4.5.3?

Makes no difference. Very frustrating.

May be this problem is related to a video codec. Have you installed any codecs or codec packs recently?

Not to my knowledge. If it is any help, Sopcast, ATDHE and Justin TV work perfectly well.

If your screen is almost green, and you cannot see the picture, you may try to press the Refresh button. This often resolves the issue.

I think I have solved the problem. I noticed that the sound was also affected (had not noticed earlier as the speakers were off).
I unistalled and re-installed the sound card drivers, and, hey presto, the streamed pictures are back to normal.
