Recording Live Video Stream


 
Hello...I have a daughter who is entering college this fall (2009) and she will play volleyball for her school. The school streams all the home matches live on the internet and I was wondering if there is a tool/app that can record the live stream while I am away from the PC, similar to a DVR? Thanks for any help!

If you post the URL, we can try to rip/download/capture your stream.

You can also use screen video capture software that can record anything from your screen including live online broadcasts

If you want to download/rip your stream, I need to know the protocol and format used.

As for recording from screen, the only screen recorder I know that has a scheduler is liteCam.

thanks SR...I don't know the protocol or format at this time as the volleyball matches have not started...they will get going in early Sept. and as soon as I know the specifics I will continue this thread...thanks so much for the info so far, very helpful...

You may download free trial versions of Jaksta and WM Recorder and see whether they can download/capture your streams.
