Password problem with x-vision TDVR4

Hi, still on the subject of passwords, has anyone had the problem of a system not accepting the factory reset password.
We have a TDVR4 which is blocking access to the settings menu where the date and time can be updated. Everything else works ok but tech support have no idea's.
