Problem: Icecast streaming from altazip.com stops after short run. Play continuously?

 

When streaming audio (radio) through IE or Firefox, play stops after 15 or 20 minutes, thereby hindering my ability to set up a future recording time. Has anyone ever seen this?

Does this happen to any radio you try to listen to or only to a particular one?

Do you have a slow Internet connection? Do you surf the net, download anything when listening to the online radio streams?

I just tried this at work as well, and it stops here as well.

I usually do nothing after I begin streaming and then recording a particular program, thinking it might hinder the process.
I also called the station and asked if it would be OK to stream and copy, and they encourage it.

The second stream stopped a couple of times for me after 35-40 minutes. I increased the buffer size from 5 to 15 seconds (I use freeware AIMP player) and it's been playing for me for 70 minutes already.

How does it affect your recording? Do you record from your sound card?

It's been playing for 3 hours now without any problem...

Where do I adjust the buffer size? I usually use WMPlayer or winamp. Is is adjustable from with those programs themselves?

Both WinAmp and WMP have settings, so you may change the buffer size from there.
